A place called blessing: where hurting ends and love begins

At first I wasn't real sure about this book since its not the type of book I normally read. However once I actually started reading this book the more I fell in love with it and couldn't put it down.

This book is about a boy named Josh who has two brothers named Matt and Sam. There parents aren't the best. They leave the kids at home alone a lot with no food most days and sometimes no electricity. There parents are selfish and like to party and spend time with there friends. One night it catches up with them and they die. Once this happens the boys are put in foster care.

Foster care turns out to be what everyone has ever heard about. But as luck would have it one day a family wants to care for the boys. Not just one or two like the past but all three boys. The boys meet some neighbor kids named mike and Jody or j.j. Jody and Josh are the youngest so they hang out in a secret hiding spot all the time until one day a tragic accident claims the life of Jody and sends the boys away to a group home. From then on Josh has problems finding a family to want him. Eventually his brothers find families and he's left on his own and loses contact with his brothers.

Once Josh graduates from high school and turns 18 he is basically kicked out of the home. Josh moves to a new town and finds work with a construction company while living in a hotel room and the streets. At work he meets a guy named mike who tells him his mom has a room for rent if he wants it. Josh finally decides living with this guys mom is better than the streets. At first things are a little rocky but as time goes on they become one big family. Josh overcomes a lot if his demons living there with the help of mike and Anna. Once mike passes away Josh finds out a secret about mikes family that helps him patch things up with him and Lori, mikes cousin.I could have sat and read this book in one day if I had given it a better chance at first. By the end of this book I was crying and so happy for the ending that it makes you realize you can never give up hope on yourself. John Trent did an amazing job with this story of hope.
